Laziest Gingerbread House Ever.

You might be wondering if this gingerbread house came pre-built, with pre-packaged candy and pre-made frosting. Yes, yes and yes and I will do it again next year. All Sydney cared about was the candy part anyway and she was very careful to use every last piece of candy and not eat any of it! What kid does that?

Last week we went to the mall to get our computer fixed and Josh decided to take Sydney to see Santa while I went to the Mac store. I met up with them just in time to see a teary-eyed, red-faced little Sydney clinging to Josh as they walked out of the Santa house. A few days later we went back to pick up our Mac and as we pulled into the mall parking lot Sydney said, "Santa. Scary." Turns out kids have pretty good memories. :)

Happy December.

Sydney has been un-decorating our tree for days now (I've redecorated the bottom half probably 30 times already) and has also discovered candy canes and lights. She will be so much fun this Christmas. :)

Sydney went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Thanksgiving (my parents) and met her little cousin, Taylor, for the first time. Taylor was very excited to see another baby and couldn't stop trying to touch Sydney's face, grab her hair, and pat her shoulders. Syd was a good sport about it and thought it was very amusing.

They had a pretty good time together.

My Mom pulled out our old toys which included this tea set which Sydney LOVED and a box of My Little Ponies, Babies, Barbies, and Beanie Babies. Anytime we went anywhere Sydney just wanted to go back to Grandma's house and would say, "Need Mama's house."

And how can I compete with "Mama" when she lets Sydney make a house out of candy, right? Sydney was so serious about decorating that house. All the little ball candies ended up in a clump of frosting above the door and she was so proud of it. We all had to clap everytime she put one on the house.

Grandma has all the best candy. And now they have a chocolate handprint on the couch to remember us by.

Taylor, Rebecca, Emily, Michelle, Amy, Sydney, Kate, Rachel--we were only missing Dan's family on this trip!

Josh was excited to take Sydney up to BYU campus and show her around. Sydney was excited about the oreo lollipop Grandma bought her and running away from us. I don't know about lollipops, but I think in 16 years she'll still be excited to run away from us when she goes to college. Josh and I got to go to the BYU vs. U of U game and it was cold and awesome. Go Cougs.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Now we just need to learn the Rosenberg side.

Parties, parties and more parties.

Sydney hit up all the good Halloween parties this year. Between so many parties she was able to wear both of the costumes we'd borrowed and was quite the socialite.

The Little Pumpkin:

The Monkey girl:

With friends Cole and Callie. Look at that silly little face.

Also, Michelle came to visit and spent Halloween with us. After she left Sydney was coloring and looked up all of a sudden and said, "I want Shell. Mommy I want Shell. Go bye bye." Yep, Michelle went bye bye, but Sydney obviously had a great time with her. (As you can see, a cell phone is the way to her heart.)

Eating Pirate's Booty popcorn with a fork... for breakfast, no less. It was one of those mornings-- don't judge.

Still sporting the necklaces and stickers.

And thanks to Grandpa, stickers often end up on her eyes. She's going to have no eyelashes left here pretty soon.

She looks like such a real kid here.

Laundry is getting to be a lot more work with such a fun little helper. You'd think she'd get over climbing into the dryer. But no. Every time!

Josh and I were holding hands one days while watching a show. When Sydney climbed on my lap, she looked down and saw our hands, so she put her hand on top and then just watched the show with us. It was a little bit so cute.
